With oak beams and several fireplaces it still remains a traditional type of pub in the olde worlde village of Godstone.
Situated opposite the village green and pond.

Comments from the group:

Margot: I think it was a lovely 50 year reunion and maybe we should make it yearly from now on.

Dieter: Doreen and I enjoyed it all very much and are looking forward to the next occasion. The White Hart is a nice venue and in a pretty setting.

Glyn: Yes it was a good day, and have sent an e-mail to Dieter to organise next year, God willing. One thing we should do next year is to try and rotate or pick a table in the corner, so that we can all talk to each other. Still we have a year to plan it all.

Gerhard: We are still recovering from yesterdays outing and general exertion but we are very glad we did travel to Godstone for the reunion. It was a nice day, we all had a good meal, good company, lots of chatting, and even had a walk to the church, altogether a very enjoyable day. Afterwards, when we got home, we noticed in our bones that it had been an exhausting day but we'll probably do it again next year!

Manfred: Sent apologies that he couldn't be with us, his present state of health didn't allow him to make the journey from Jena. He is very pleased about the Godstone web site and sent
congratulations on our 50th anniversary of our arrival in England.

An artistic study in light and shadow. Had to be included in this photo gallery as it is the only picture of Julie Flude, daughter of Margot, who did a good job as honorary photographer.
